Is it possible to move some of the residences closest to the beach to the north half of the property? That area seems undeveloped and safer from flooding.
RE: Moving
I know that section of property is leased for farming most of the year.
These houses are on leased land, so I'd think that the owners of the structures would have to pay for the move out of pocket.
But I could be wrong.
That is my favorite beach in RI.
How do land owners get compensated for lost assets?
It has to be a communal and much larger approach. The buffer to the beach needs to be much greater. If the land is leased we would need to know how big the contiguous property is. If possible the land owner should suggest a long-term plan to keep the viability of his/her leases.
Please explain the overflow pond more and why you have selected that area if it is clearly in the zone of the 3ft level rise (other than the fact that its low, and therefore easy and cheap)
Overflow sounds interesting but it needs to be explained more clearly as to how exactly it works.
Is the round 1 visualization the same?
